NICE SANDER/POLISHER June 8, 2010 S. Johnson (NJ) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for its variable speed. I needed to polish some travertine tiles I installed in my bathroom. Each grit polishing pad requires a different speed. The machine seems to be of good construction, heavy duty and the variable speeds work great. It's heavy though. Next I will try using it to wax/polish my cars. I have a feeling its going to get heavy though. But all in all I would recommend it. For the price its great!

Amazon is a great place to buy items and ATD makes a great polisher. Thanks
Lots of Power with Good Quality May 3, 2010 Micheal Chamberlin (Chicago, Illinois) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I would give this buffer a 5 star rating but the buffer pad included with it came apart before I could finish my vehicle. Luckily I ordered the McQuire's pad in addition to it. I used McQuire's rubbing compound on the finish and it looks great. I have an '03 Matrix with the original paint so there were plenty of little scratches and scuffs. I wet sanded a couple of areas and used a cheap old 10" orbital buffer to try and buff out the wet sanded areas. Didn't work so well so I ordered this one. This buffer has plenty of torque and a slow start feature that's also handy. I also like the variable speed capability. I was able to finish buffing out the spots with this thing and it looks great. I would caution anyone who has NOT used one of these commercial grade buffers before to be careful. Be sure and keep the buffer moving around and flat to the surface as this thing has enough torque to burn areas that you leave it on too long.
Great buffer! Greater Customer Service! April 26, 2010 Philip Logiudice (Guilford, CT) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
ATD Tools 7" Shop Polisher Promo with FREE Large Man Bag & Extension Cord / ATD 10511PROMO This is a great device and a must have if you want to restore old paint or need to polish a new paint job. This is a great company too. I sent them feedback about their instruction manual saying that there were no actual instructions! There was safety information but that was all. The Customer management guy, Jon, got right back to me and not only thanked me for my comments, but had the manual updated and sent me the revision. Now that is customner service!
This is the message I got from Jon Levetto:
Phil,
Thank you for your interest in ATD Tools.
Interesting that you should mention that about our manual. We have been selling that product for years and years, and I never had any complaints. I looked at this manual a few weeks ago and discovered that you are exactly right...and you were being nice when you said it wasn't very informative, personally, I thought it stunk. In that light, I had the manual revamped and the result is attached.
Hopefully this new manual will give you some insight, if not, let me know and I will try to find out for you.
Thanks,
-Jon Lovetto

Powerful with Control January 29, 2010 Armin Nasufovic (Sacramento, CA) The one I received was red instead of blue but this is a great piece to add to your arsenal. It feels very solid and has a good amount of weight. It comes with both the regular and the Velcro mount for versatility out of the box.
Perfect for the price, just be careful as it can be very loud. I recommend wearing earplugs especially in closed environments like a garage, otherwise you will have your ears ringing after a good polish.
